The Haryana Congress released its detailed manifesto for the October 5 state assembly polls on Saturday. The manifesto includes promises to establish a farmers’ welfare commission, provide financial assistance to families of soldiers who lost their lives, and reconstitute the minority commission. The party also pledged to enact legislation to guarantee MSP for farmers’ produce, provide interest-free loans to farmers, and provide interest-free loans to farmers for agricultural inputs. The manifesto also called for the establishment of a special investigation team to investigate the deaths of farmers during the agitation against the Centre’s three farm laws.
Previously, Congress announced seven major guarantees: MSP legal protection, caste survey, gas cylinders for ₹500, ₹2,000 monthly for women (18-60), ₹6,000 pension for the elderly, disabled, and widows, two lakh permanent government jobs, and 300 units of free electricity.
