During Islamic Unity Week, Ayatollah Khamenei met with leaders of Iran’s Sunni community. The meeting was held to promote unity and understanding among Iran’s diverse religious communities. Ayatollah Khamenei praised the contributions of Iran’s Sunni community to Iranian society and said that the concept of an “Islamic Ummah” should never be forgotten. He urged Iran’s Sunni community to continue to contribute to the development of Iranian society and to work together with Iran’s Shia majority to strengthen Iran’s unity and security.
